A couple of weeks ago, I got a text from Monki, asking me if I wanted to shoot with them in Stockholm again, this time for their news campaign.. And as you might’ve figured out, it is impossible to say no to such an offer, especially after the awesome experience I had shooting with Monki for their SS14 look book. So last Tuesday, I got up way too early to fly to Copenhagen and then meet up with the sweet and talented make-up artist, Stine Rasmussen, whereafter we flew to Stockholm and went to the studio together. As soon as we got there, I was put in the make-up chair and Stine made me look so hot that I literally started laughing at myself, when I saw myself in the mirror in the bathroom.
The shoot was like a game about how many ways you could twist and turn your face and body while still showcasing the clothes. Erik, the photographer, who shot all of the photos on old fashioned film and polaroids, is one of the funniest(honestly, he laughed out loud every time he though something looked just the slights bit funny) photographers I’ve ever worked with. Before we started shooting, he asked the rest of the team to scoot, so that he and I could get to know each other. When he found out that I photograph too, he decided that I should shoot some of the photos of my gorgeous co-model Fatima, who was on the shoot the last time, too. So half of the time, Fatima and I did silly things in front of the camera, and the other half, I shot Fatima. Awesome? I think so! The photos will be in the Monki shops(YES, THE SHOPS! EVEN THE ONE I TOKYO!) this January, most likely along with the clothes – I’m soooo looking forward to it, and you should too, the clothes are gorgeous!
