Hvad synes I?
Is it just me or are we seeing more and more of net-tops, wild lipsticks, Doc Martens and generally more experimenting attire in the streets these days? I think so, so in that occasion, I decided to show you this amazing editorial, if you’s like to turn back time 15 years and do it right. Yep, the late 90′s/millenium style is slowly gnawing it’s way into trendiness and I decided that I’m not going to complain, even though I still have chilhood trauma about certain clothing items, but as the titles states: it’s not what you wear, it’s the way that you wear it! So should one start experimenting styling millenium clothes and see what happens? What do you think?
Tilfreds? Bestemt!
Hvad synes I?
It happened again! I have now officially admitted to myself that my shopping strike has been broken severely.. But what does that matter when you can get an amazingly useable jacket and a bag I’ve been craving for months for only 60DKK? Yep, you got it right, 60DKK! I went thrift hunting in Aalborg last week and was so lucky to find myself the most comfy and adorable white bomber jacket with quilt detailing and a nice doctor’s bag in great quality. I have been looking for this exact kind of bag for so long, to ude as a camera bag and this one exeeds all expectations both when it comes to looks and roominess. Dang, I must have looked so goofily happy the entire rest of the day, when I bought these.. Satisfied? Definately!
What do you think?
So it happened - the thing everybody begged me to do, ever since I told you that I and my sis were selling out from out wardrobes.. I started a Tictail! It only happened because a lot of you promised to buy something, so now I’m crossing my fingers and hoping that I didn’t spend huge amounts on time to make this happen for no reason. But all I have to say is: shop amok right HERE!
Hvilke kollektioner sidder stadig fast i jeres hukommelse?
The “looking back”-series has made it’s way onto my fave collections. All of them are collections that for each their own reason have stuck to my mind like bubblegum, because they all have something quite extrardinary about them. The Balenciaga SS08 collection was my very first fave collection and one that I fell in love with long before I started my blog. Back then I was already quite interesten in fashion(well, I’ve always been) and back then, all of my fave models walked the runways – Freja, Coco, Natalia, Sascha, Irina, oldies but (super)goodies! The collection is quite something – you have a hard time believing it’s a RTW collection, which makes it even more fantastic. I love the wild shapes, materials and the fact that, even though the volume on everything has been turned way up, it still is uncluttered and clean because of the precise lines in the clothing. Onto Jil Sander SS11 – which positive superlatives cannot be used about this collection? Simplicity, minimalism mixed with maximalism, bright colours, overdimensioned proportions, perfect styling and colour combos that couln’t be any better! As soon as this collection hit the runway(or the internet in my case) I knew that we were meant to be together. I have tried to look for just one piece from the collection and, for once, spend big money on one single item, without any luck. I still keep dreaming, though! Latsly, the Roksanda Ilincic prefall 12 collection also caught me quite impetuously with it’s sharp lines, proportions and bright primary colours – at a time when I was pretty taken by Bauhaus’ and De Stijl’s design aesthetics and use of colours. Yes, both Jil Sander and Roksanda Ilincic hit the nail on the head and made me crazy for colour blocking and overdimentioned proportions in each of their own ways, just like Balenciaga got me head over heels for stiff, shiny fabrics, wild prints and sharp silhouettes.. And they all still do!
Here’s the editorial that I’ve, since last Monday, been teasing for. I did it with my sweet and super talented friend, Julie, who got a white background very recently – perfect for studio-shooting! So we got busy with silly clothes, my hyper mobile body and yoga poses and here’s the result, which Julie, with her mad editing skills has perfected. I’m more than content! How do you like it? If you want, you’re very welcome to like this post on bloglovin’, share these photosand throw them around the internet, where you’d think people would find them interesting. Julie and I have a lot more ideas for photo shoots and after the succes with these great shots, I have no doubt that we’ll keep going!
