Advarsel: fyldigt indlæg! Når man tager rundt som streetstylefotograf til modeuger kommer man tit hjem med en hel masse billeder – hvoraf man ofte kan bruge mindre end halvdelen. Personligt kan jeg nå op på omkring de 1800 billeder pr. dag, hvoraf slutproduktet kan ende med 30-50 billeder, der redigeres og bruges.. Så I kan forestille jer at der er en masse billeder der ryger direkte i skraldespanden og for at give jer et indblik i hvad man har at bakse med når man går på jagt efter det perfekte billede. Hvis I vil se dem, der faktisk lykkedes, kan I tjekke NEMESIS, BABE STREETSTYLE ud lige her! /// When you, as a streetstyle photographer, run around at various fashion weeks, you often bring home tons of photos, of which you usually can use less than half. I, personally, reach about 1800 photos a day and the end product is usually around 30-50 photos that are edites and used. So you might imagine that tons of photos go directly to the bin and to give you a little look into what you have to work with on your hunt for the perfect photo, here’s a little lidt of the things that can go wrong. Vi starter med klassikeren: folk i baggrunden. Det første billede, synes jeg er ih, så fint, hvir bare ikke der stak et ekstra hoved og en hånd ud fra pigens ryg. På det andet billede har vi problemet “farvet ting i baggrunden“, som jeg til bare ville skrive farvemætningen ned på, men når man forestiller sig billedet helt uden hende i baggrunden, kunne det bare have været så meget bedre! // We start out with the classic: people in the background. The first photo is a darling of mine.. if the girl just hadn’t that head and extra hand sticking out of her shoulder. The second photo shows the problem “coloured thing in the background” which I usually would just turn down on the saturation, but when you think about how it would look without her in the background, it just could have been so much better!
Du peger kameraet direkte mod dem, de kommer tættere på, du knipser løs, de smiler og blinker til dig og du er sikker på billedet er i kassen.. Men nå nej, kameraet synes det var federe at fokusere på væggen bagved eller slet ikke på noget. Slørede billeder er der bare intet ar gøre ved og muligheden for at få det rigtige billede i samme situatuin kommer ikke igen. øv! // You point the camera towards them, they come closer, you snap away and the smile and wink at your camera. You’re sure you got the shot, but no! The camera though it was much more fun to focus on the wall behind her or not ven focus at all. Blurry photos can’t be saved, and that’s just too bad, because the chance of catching that exact shot again is non existing.. dang!
Lækre sko ser bare godt ud når der går, især hvis der er flere på een gang – og hvis de går i takt! Jep, folk der ikke går i takt, kan virkelig være et irritationsmoment! // Gorgeous shoes just look good in pictures, especially if there are more at once – and if they walk synchronuously. Yep, people who don’t walk synchronuously really are annoying!
De er der specielt ved model-udgangene eller når der er kendisser i nærheden: paparazzi! Paparazzier og deres store, blitzende kameraer. Som oftest bruger streetstylefotografer ikke blitz, eftersom naturligt lys er unægteligt bedst, så bliver man fanget, omgivet af blitzer, er billederne dødsdømt. // They especially hang around the model-exits and the celebrities: The paparazzi! Paparazzi and their big, flashing cameras. Usually streetstyle photosgraphers don’t use flash, since natural light is, without a doubt, better, so if you’re caught surrounded by flashes, your photos are doomed. 
Selvom det kan være sjovt, giver det desværre bare nyttesløse billeder: ærgerlige ansigtsudtryk! Det er naturligvis altid fedt at få billeder af de store stjerne i modebranchen, men hvis ansigtet er lagt i underlige folder, bliver billedet bare ikke godt. øv! // Even though it might be a bit funny, it makes your pictures useless: weird facial expressions! Of course, it’s always a bonus to get a shot of the fashion bigshots, but if the face is put into an unflattering grimace, the photo just won’t be great. Dang!
Dette billede er faktisk en kombi af to ting; 1. modeller, der tager deres show-makeup af. Billeder af modeller med make-uppen på, gør det så meget bedre. 2: modefancy folk, der bare skynder sig væk og nægter at stoppe op for et foto. En, der altid skynder sig væk efter et show, er bl.a. modellen Lindsey Wixon, som jeg endnu ikke har fået det perfekte billede af. // This photo is actually a mix of two things: 1. models that take off their show make-up. Shooting models wearing show make-up is just much better! 2. fashion-people who rush after a show and won’t stop for a second to be photographed. Someone, who always ruches away is the model, Lindsey Wixon, of whom I haven’t gotten a good shot yet.
