When doing my inspirational posts, I usually show you collages or fashion editorials, that inspire my on how to dress. But something that has inspired me quite a lot too, but which I’ve been avoiding when doing those posts, are the campaigns. The very first photos you see, when you open any fashion magazine, and photos that are equally inspirational as the editorials inside the mag, if not more. So now I’ll give you a little cavalcade of my fave campaigns this season:
The Kenzo campaigns have made me stop and look quite a bit these past few seasons – amongst others, the miniature-campaign for the eye-collection from last season – and they do so this time as well. Their always colorful way of visualizing their collections combined with the ss14-collection’s fish theme creates the most gorgeous photos and interesting expressions. Besides Kenzo, I can’t help but bring Celine into the cavalcade as well. Their latest campaigns have been quite calm, but have all had that kind of analogue look, as if it all were shot on film. I think this season’s campaign maintains that analogue look, though, this time, with some more “oomph”, a great portion of color from the arty collection and lots of movement. No one can doubt that I’m so into that kind of campaign! The last campaign I’ve chosen is Sonia Rykiel, solely because of the gorgeous graphing look, where the styling of the clothes with the great big arty figures makes these photos more like art than a sales campaign.
Mh-mh-mmh, what a great batch of campaigns! How do you like them – and which is your favorite campaign this season?
