I have, after a lot of thinking, decided to do a line of sponsored posts with the Louis Nielsen Beillelook/Brilleblogger challenge this year. Now, I’m not really that sponsored post type, but I decided to take the task and challenge myself creatively: how can I do the same “campaign” as nine other bloggers, but keep it in the line of my own and the blog’s ideas, without sompromising my blog morals AND make it interesting? The challenge started this Friday, when I flew to Copenhagen to take part in an event for a collection of glasses entitled “Selected by Helena Christensen”, where there were drinks, snacks, fancy people, a lot of glasses and of course the beforementioned top model. At the event I picked out my five fave pairs of glasses, namely the ones above, who all spoke directly to my retro loving heart when it comes to glasses. But let’s go straight to the case – my common thread throughout these posts, will be something I usually do well in my own opinion: to typify. You know, just like I sometimes do with my outfits, like “horse rider girl going to a party“, “the postal look“, “the circus animal trainer” and “Alice in Wonderland“. Now the typifying is just transferred to the glasses, which I decided to put with outfits I believe compliment them thematically (from the top, left to right: the secretary, the bohemian, the bookworm, the graphic type, the romantic). The outfit for the secretary might not be all that secretary like, but I couldn’t name the glasses any different nor put them with an other outfit, taht would compliment them as well as this. My own fave in this bunch is, without a doubt, the bookworm, since they have the just right amount retro feel and, well, yeah, bookworminess. Which glasses are your type?
Ps.: the next time I’ll be doing a post in this campaign will be after the Roskilde Festival, where I’ll be streetstyling(a task right up my alley!) cool types wearing glasses and sunnies – will I see you there?
