Oven i alt min flytte-hjemmefra shopping, fik jeg selvfølgelig også kigget lidt på andet end bare møbler og bestik i genbrugsbutikkerne. I en af dem faldt jeg over en lille smykke-skuffe hvori jeg fandt disse to fantastiske brocher. Normalt er jeg ikke lige en broche-pige, jeg har lidt svært ved at bære det gammel-dame look, der automatisk kommer, når man tager sådan en på (hvem skulle egentlig nogensinde have troet at jeg ville sige nej til gammel-dame looket? overraskende!). Men for en gangs skyld har jeg fundet nogle brocher, jeg simpelthen ikke kunne lade ligge – mest fordi de kun kostede en flad 20’er, men også fordi jeg ved lige hvordan de skal bruges! Nu er jeg jo begyndt at gå lidt mere i overdele med skjorte-halsåbninger og det er her brocherne skal i aktion. Husker I min hvide brokade-frakke? Den plejer jeg at lukke i halsen med en sikkerhelsnål, men ikke mere! Fra nu af skal frakken pyntes med sådan en fin broche eller to helt oppe ved halsen, ih, hvor fint! Jep, jeg tror at en broche lige ved skjortekraven bliver et hit for mig! Hvad siger I til idéen?
On top of all of my moving out-shopping, I of course also got around to looking at other things than furniture and cutlery, while browsing through the thrift stores. In one of the stores I found a little jewellery drawer in which these two amazing brooches lay. Normally I’m not much of a brooch gal, I have a hard time dealing with that old lady look that automatically comes with that kind of jewellery (who’d ever have though that I would say no to an old lady look? surprising!). But for once I found some brooches I actually really liked and I couldn’t leave them in the store – firstly because they only cost 20DKK/3euros, but also because I figured out exactly how to use them! I’ve started wearing clothes with shirt-collars more than I used to before and these shirts will be the perfect place to put the brooches in action. Do you remember my white brocade coat? I usually close it at the very top with a safety pin, but there will be no more of that now! From now on the coat will be closed at the neck with one or two of these gorgeous brooches, oh, just imagine how nice that would look! Yep, a cute brooch at the collar of the shirt or coat will be a hit for me this season! How do you like the idea of it?
