The other day I had a pompom-flip on Pinterest and I couldn’t help but add them to the party week on the blog! Pom pons work so well for both party decorations and accessories – and they’re so easy to do.
As you see on the photos above, I’ve done pom pom hair bands, pom pom bag accessories, pom pom garlands and table decor, and I love them all.. So here’s a simple guide for how you can make pom pons in no time for decor and accessories for your next party!
YOU’LL NEED:
yarn
a fork
HOW YOU DO:
wind your yarn around the fork until the yarn roll is as thick as shown on the photo below
take the roll of yarn off of your fork and tie a string around the roll across the direction of the yarn in the roll
cut all of the loops on each side of the knot and – poof!
There’s your pom pom! You can trim the sides of your pom pom, if it’s not even.
