As the title suggests, I have spent some time with the sewing machine. I very seldomly sew, and it even more seldomly looks like something, when I do.
Last week, I found this great furniture fabric at a fabric store and I couldn’t not do something with it. So I got a pattern, thread, a zipper and this gorgeous fabric and spent hours learning how to make a dress. And after a couple of struggles with the sewing machine, I finished it and – let’s face it – it turned out awesome!
To take advantage of the thick, weaved fabric, I decided to fray the edges in stead of making a regular seam, and I think it looks so rad!
