Finally! After three months of living in subleased rooms, after moving to Copenhagen, I’ve found a place! I’ve got an enormous room + a walk in closet(say what!) on Islands Brygge, and I can finally start feeling at home in the capital city.
Finding a new home also brings the fun of interior decoration with it and I am so excited about getting to create my own little oase. I’m more inspired by coziness, eclecticism and old fashioned furniture and decoration than I was in my previous quite white room. If I don’t look out, I’ll end up having a room that looks like my granny decorated it, so I’ve also added some industrial elements – planning on getting some steel shelves for books and clothes and a plumbing pipe clothing rack from Stelew, which would work amazingly with that way cool plumbing floor lamp form Ellos!
I do think, though, that I’ll try to use mostly thrifted furniture and fun IKEA DIY-hacks to keep the costs to a minimum – and to keep my room a bit more unique!
